More Disney News :o(
Ok, well, it seems it wasn't as great news as I thought... it sucks being in England and not getting all the info about it... I was just reading an article over at SaveDisney.com and Roy isn't pleased at all... Hopefully, however much a puppet this new guy is, he'll stop with all the damned sequals!!! Lets get back to traditional Disney programming, please? Cartoons for all the family with double-entendre that only adults get... lol, like Aladdin...

Well I can hope, can't I?!? lol

Away For a While...

I'm going back to Retford tomorrow. I have yet another funeral to go to (why do awful things like this always come in multiples?!?) I'll be back there for just over a week, so hopefully, I'll be able to get some work done and see some mates aswell...
I also heard from Loughborough today, they've recieved my application, so, I should know if I have an interview in the next few weeks... which reminds me, I need to inform Neil that my ESRC application needs to be sent off and he need to formally let me know when he's done that.
Aside from that, pretty dull here, Finally got Catherine to watch a Bond film... We watched Dr. No and she loved it. So when we have time I'll get her watching some others... But none of those silly Pierce Brosnan ones... Except Goldeneye... lol

Well, I guess I'll be back in a week or so, I might post before then, if anything imporant happens...
Bye!!

Good News Everyone!!!
Wahey!! Great news!!

Quote

Excerpt From BBC News Article

Mr Eisner stood down as chairman after a bruising 2004 shareholder meeting.
At that meeting, a shareholder campaign led by founder Walt Disney's nephew Roy Disney secured a sizeable minority vote - 45% - against Mr Eisner, whom they blamed for poor financial performance and a hostile bid from cable TV firm Comcast.

They Finally got rid of that idiot... Hopefully we'll see more original Disney cartoons now, and less silly hour-long sequals... Roy Disney has been a blessing over the last year... And if anyone's got a few grand to invest, share prices have fallen 1.5% in the last few hours, so it's looking like a great option, and now Eisner is gone, profits will come back up and we'll all be happy!!

In Other News: I finally got my essay done!! It's been handed in and everything... I forgot to hand in a copy on disk, so I gotta remember to do that tomorrow, else I'm in trouble... Well, I'm gonna watch that Super Eruption thing on BBC, so goodnight!!

Fruity Smarties?!?
lol, I just bought a packet of fruity smarties and to be honest, I'm not sure why they're anything to do with smarties, they're just re-branded Tooty Fruities.

With the twist being the colours aren't matched (infact they're intentionally switched) so they can make twice as much money by selling the same stuff under two names... Mind you, they're quite nice, and you can't get big bags of Tooty Fruitys, so it's not all bad, lol.
I've also just realised after two days of hard work that I've not even been answering the question for my essay, so I have about 2,000 words to re-write :o(

I'm alternative... Apparently
I had to play about with this, cos the formatting went funny, but at least it actually displayed, which is more than can be said for MSN Spaces...
You scored as alternative. You're partially respected for being an
individual in a conformist world yet others take you as a radical. You
have no place in society because you choose not to belong there - you're
the luckiest of them all, even if your parents are completely ashamed of

Hmmm
Well, I'm getting into my first essay, and I must say, I think it'll be OK in the end.

I'm really not impressed with Mozilla Foundation (MoFo) at the mo. They have just confirmed they're discontinuing the Mozilla (Seamonkey) Suite just as I was considering moving to Seamonkey. Typical! lol. There is a community effort to continue the life of Mozilla Suite, but I'm not hopeful. On the positive flip of this, Mozilla is the people who were unhappy with Netscape and split off, and now they're the bigger people, so it would be nice if the same could happen for Mozilla Suite. MoFo have outlined their intentions and are offering support to those wishing to work on Seamonkey... So maybe good things will come of this... I sure hope so!!

Aswell as that, I need to finally get all my research completed for my dissertation. And remember to look when it's all gotta be in for...
I think I'll make a post-it note with that list on it... Else I'll forget :o(

Why?!?
Why do you have to commit yourself to a type of psychology to follow? If you ask any psychologist of any kind what type of psychologist (s)he is, they will be able to answer you. You will recieve any number of responses "I'm a Marxist Lacanian psychologist with an interest in discourse" or "I'm a critical social psychologist" or "I'm a Freudian/Jungian/Eriksonian/Kleinian psychoanalyst"... The list goes on...

Why do you have to be anything? Can't you just be an open-minded psychologist? There's worth in every area of psychology. I disagree almost wholly with Jungian psychoanalysis, but I think his theory on dreams is more comprehensive than Freud's. Everyone has something to offer, so why must we commit ourselves to one type? I was thinking this after my therapy today... My therapist is a "person centered" therapist (technically a counsellor, since I only see her 1x a week) but she's never said that's what she is, and she just seems open-minded to me. I want to be like her. She uses Gestalt techniques, person-centered techniques, she's willing to discuss things in relation to the past (which a person-centered person would normally reject any relevence of) and as a result, I feel she's a great therapist.

I was thinking about this because I'm suppose dto be writing an essay:

"Discuss the Strengths and Weaknesses of the Person Centred Approach to Counselling in Comparison to the Psychodynamic Approach"

And I was thinking about these two approaches. Although they seem very different, they might actually be very very similar. And I was thinking about this and I decided that once I'm fully qualified, I'll not stick to a particular framework, I'll be fluid and build the therapeutic setting depending on the needs of the patient... Shouldn't that be what it's all about anyway??

Bah! Psychologists!!! lol

I'm back...
Well, I already wrote this whole thing once. So I'm not impressed. I guess it serves me right for using the nightly firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050308 Firefox/1.0+) For my general usage. I think it makes me a better tester to always use it. Meh!!

Ok, so here's the news. I went to Manchester on Monday. I was up at 4:30am and on the 6:50am train to Manchester. I must have spent an hour waiting at bus/train stations before I got on the train. 4½ hours later I was in Manchester Piccadilly station, By Heck!! It's bigger than London King's Cross Station, I nearly got lost!!

Mind you, I did get lost once I got out of the station. I asked directions at the station information desk, and a guy told me to go straight down the road and turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights, where I would find a bus station... From my gatherings, I think he might have meant left! I spent 30mins wandering around Manchester looking for anything that might give me a hint of where I was going, until I eventually found my way back to the train station and asked for directions on how to walk to the Met Uni, since I had already tried looking for busses, lol. This was a lot easier, even though I'd been walking for an hour and a half by the time I got there, and I was still 50 minutes early!!
He let me go right up, and, having got lost again, I finally found him 10 minutes later!
The interview went well, we discussed my proposal and we talked about all it's problems so I can make a better idea of what I'm gonna do. We also somehow spent ages talking about philosophy/sociology of psychology and psychoanalysis. It was great, I've never had a discussion like that... It was really fun!!
Now, here comes the bad bit... He said there's no funding there. The ESRC doesn't recognise the unit as eligible for funding, and there's no MMU studentship money been allocated yet. So he simply told me to push my application at Loughborough. And I'm hoping that he's spoken to the guy there and said how great I am!! Fingers crossed, eh?

In other news, lol, I went out into Retford on Monday night, I'd not have been back in Norwich until 0:30am Tues, so I stayed at my mum's. There was only Wendy and Jo out, so it was a nice quiet drink, until Wenna started drinking, then it got loud. Mind you, I've not laughed like that in ages. I had a really great time, but I always do with Wenna.
However, I got worried once I got home that I'd done something wrong, I promised Wenna I'd walk her home, cos I was going a similar way anyway, but I left her at the end of the road, so as not to make her b.f jelaous. We'd been joking about her getting drunk and naked for me, and wasn't sure she'd taken it as a joke, so I had to text her to make sure, and to apologise for leaving her at the end of her road. Unfortunaltely, her b.f read the text, so now I'm in trouble... Just another example of where nothing goes wrong, I convince myself it has, and I cock everything up by trying to 'fix' the imaginary problem... Apparently therapy isn't moving me forward as fast as I had thought... I have my review with my therapist today at 2 though. So I'll see how that goes, aswell...

Note: I'm still looking for help on the CSS and stuff on here :p Thanks

Edit: Wenna just e-mailed me, we're cool :o)

Packing :o(
Well... I'm all ready and packing for tomorrow! I'm terrified as hell... I have to be on the 6:50 train, and I have to be wide awake for my interview for 2pm... Wake Up Meh! I hope he's understanding of my situation, I will be on the train for five and a half hours and most likely won't be awake long enough to do any of the necessary reading! If I mess this up, then it sorta screws everything up for Catherine aswell :oWish me luck!!

Also, if anyone can help me stop all my pictures having a nasty thick white border around them, I'd appreciate it :o) Ta.

Help!!
Well... lol, Apparently my knowledge of CSS isn't nearly comprehensive enough. I tried to make a custom template for this thing, but it's not having any of it!! I wanted to make a 3-column layout like I have on my MSN Blog but it just isn't working. Things were a lot easier back when there was only HTML and xHTML, lol. If anyone wants to help me, or even make one for me it would be nice!! I can put all the blogger tags in myself, I guess it's just the CSS layout I want help with.

Thanks!!

OK then...
OK then, Here's my new blog, I've started it here simply to mirror my MSN Space. Which is shockingly poor. Nicely customisable, with all the lists and such, so if someone can help me add lists like that to this, or simply help me make my own template, then I'd appreciate it :o)

I decided to move a blog here since MSN seems to filter out all XHTML and CSS from the posts, so I end up with horridly formatted posts... Typical MS really, trying to control everything!!

Now... Here's everything I've posted before now on my MSN Space
